iOS Engineer

About this role

We are looking for an expert in iOS development who has worked on fast growing consumer products. Experience in social apps is especially ideal. They will be working with the CTO, Product, and Engineering team to create a captivating yet seamless experience for users on a private and authenticated social platform designed to revolutionize the social fabric of communities.

What you'll do

• Lead the development of new UI features and functionality for iOS app (SwiftUI / UIKit), from conception to deployment
• Build quickly and iterate often—take ideas from zero to one and ship them to hundreds of thousands of daily active users
• Collaborate closely with backend engineers and dive into backend systems as needed to ensure seamless end-to-end product functionality
• Design and implement scalable, reliable infrastructure for iOS applications
• Set up tools and processes that promote fast, high-quality software development and strong engineering culture
• Imagine, design, deploy, and iterate on new product features with an eye toward rapid learning and continuous improvement

What we're looking for

• 5 - 15 years of experience owning the development of iOS applications from 0 → 1
• Expert-level proficiency in Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit
• Experience with fast-growing consumer products, especially social apps
• Strong understanding of scalable iOS architecture and infrastructure
• Ability to collaborate with backend engineers and understand backend systems
• Track record of shipping features to large user bases
• Experience with TypeScript and GCP is a plus
